CFSME KITSHOP

The CFSME Kitshop is managed by the Commandant, CFSME and is operated for the Branch Council.  Revenue from the CFSME Kitshop subsidizes CME activities such as CME Museum operating costs and top student awards. The CFSME Kitshop is set up as a commercial enterprise and operates out of the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering. It is both a wholesale operation (marketing to unit retail kit shops) and a retail outlet that markets directly to individuals.

The CME CWO approves all new items sold by the CFSME Kitshop to ensure that only high quality items that are in keeping with the image of the CME are produced. Units may make recommendations for new items throught the kitshop staff, who will pass them up the chain of command.

CFSME

The Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering currently conducts more than 80 different courses and more than 100 course serials annually. Training ranges from courses in the combat and construction trades to officer training and includes specialty training for both the CME and other branches. More than 1,400 Canadian Military Engineers attend the school annually.

The mission of the Canadian Military Engineers is to contribute to the survival, mobility, and combat effectiveness of the Canadian Forces. Roles are to conduct combat operations, support the Canadian Forces in war and peace, support national development, provide assistance to civil authorities, and support international aid programs. Engineers serve wherever the need arises, proud of the motto Ubique (Everywhere).
